SSBL-MADISON ASANA VOLLEYBALL FUNDRAISER OVER PRIDE WEEKEND
SSBL-Madison, coordinating with MGVB, will be holding a volleyball tournament Pride weekend as a fundraiser for the ASANA Women's World Series for softball. This ASANA tournament will bring players from all across the nation and will be held here in Madison, WI in 2009. SSBL-Madison has reserved and paid for all the courts at Olbrich for us on Saturday and Sunday.
The cost is $15 per player and you are welcome to have as many on your roster as you wish. The tournament will be at Olbrich Park on Saturday and and possibly for part of Sunday, but the final games of the tournament can be played at Brittingham Park on Sunday to coincide with Pride events planned there.
Seeding will be determined based on 2 or 3 matches of pool play before the official beginning of the tournament. This tournament will be a double-elimination tournament. You must win 2 out of 3 games in order to win the match. Scoring will be rally scoring. Games 1 & 2 will start at 4 points for each team, playing to 25 and you must win by 2 points, with no cap. Game 3 will start at 0 points and you play to 15. You must win by 2, but this game does cap at 17. All pool play games and first and second round tournament games will be played on Saturday. During tournament, matches may end if the first two games are won by the same team. Teams may be assigned to ref each other's games when not playing.
The deadline for registering a team is Wednesday, July 16th. Fees are due at the beginning of the tournament ($15 per player listed on your roster-roster also due at beginning of tournament). Checks should be made payable to SSBL-Madison. To register your team, contact Dale at publicrelations@madisongayvolleyball.com or talk to him or Ben Monty at Sunday volleyball.
The winning team will receive a $100 bar tab at Club 5. The second place team will receive a $50 bar tab at Shamrock Bar. Every participant will receive various drink coupons for SSBL-Madison sponsor bars good during the weekend of Pride.

Eucher Tournament Summer Schedule
These will all be held at the Hookah Lounge beginning at 1:30pm, all on Saturday afternoons. The cost is $20/player. Payout will be 30% of the pot for under 32 players and 40% for 32 or more players. Pitchers of domestic beer will be $5, $1 off mixed drinks and jello shots will be made for additional league fundraising.
